I write not about me
I've got better to do
Than write about we
It starts with an L and ends with an E
It can be with a you, a them, a me
It's about who we are, about what we choose
It's about to feel good in our own little shoes
Fairytales and lies are words that do not rhyme
But they don't have to ryme to take away our time
Because time flies
The clock keeps ticking
And soon enough you'll have to pause
And decide what you're keeping
It's those smiles you can't forget
It's those lips you'll dream to get
And the hands that touch your skin
Newborn's fingers or lover's sin
It's the music that you hear
That makes you shiver
The words that they sing
That make you feel better
It's the secrets that you keep
The skeletons in your closet
And laugh to yourself; you could just throw away the locket
It's the way you dance half naked sometimes
Without caring of dos and don'ts
It's the way you say you'll keep a diet
But know that you won't
It's the voice on the phone when you call crying
The same one, the same tone when you call laughing
When you know you can be yourself without even trying
It's this 1st kiss in the pouring rain
With this 1st love that you can't explain
It's this time on a backseat when you're lips are on fire
When you can feel in your hands the lust and desire
It's every hug, every smile
Every step, every mile
It's all the bad, all the good
All the have's, all the could's
There's no rules in what you choose, its your own game
